"operation failed" error when moving files

Being worked on

I just upgraded from android 4.2 to 4.3. When I try to move a file from one directory to another, I see root privileges being granted to root browser, but then I get an "operation failed" message and the file is not moved. I can delete files, so it seems like root browser has write permissions.

I originally restored root browser using Titanium Backup. Then I tried uninstalling it, erasing the cache and data for it, and reinstalling from the Play store. But I still get the "operation failed" error.

Also, this was just for tying to move files around on the sdcard partition. I downloaded another file manager and even without root privileges it was able to move files on the sdcard partition without any problem.

Any ideas what the issue is? Thanks.

Update: Based on a problem I know Titanium has with Android 4.3, I changed the path to the home directory from /storage/emulated/0 to /storage/emulated/legacy. Now I can move files. But /storage/emulated/0 worked fine with Android 4.2. I guess I could also just use /sdcard. And reason to prefer one over the other? Any reason Root Browser now has problems with /storage/emulated/0 in 4.3?

Was this bug fixed? I am on CM11 4.4.4 and I still have this problem. I cannot move a file from internal storage to external storage (SD Card). I get the error operation failed...
